At PetQuest, the health and safety or our guests comes first. Vaccinations are required before admittance. Dogs are required to have rabies, DHLPP and bordetella (within the last 6 months) vaccinations. We accept current titer tests! Unfortunately any guests that aren't current on vaccinations or have not received vaccinations will not be permitted to stay at PetQuest.
PetQuest recommends all pets have the Canine Influenza Virus . This is not a required vaccination at this time but is very Highly recommended for your pet. please ask your Veterinarian.
In the event paperwork has been forgotten or misplaced for vaccination records, we can call veterinarians or they may may e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rabies is given every year or every three years to protect pets against rabies, a deadly virus usually received from a bite in the saliva of an infected animal. Usually found in wild animals.
DHLPP is given every year to protect pets against diseases including: (canine) distempter, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and parvovirus in one combination core vaccination.
Bordetella aka "kennel cough" is given to protect pets against tracheobronchitis, a wide spread disease that causes upper respiratory problems in dogs that usually lasts 14-21 days.
To help ensure proper protection against diseases, we highly recommend all pets receive age appropriate vaccinations no later than 72 hours before arriving at PetQuest.
